The Laois International Golf Challenge takes place every year in the month of May. The Challenge is supported by Laois County Council, Laois Tourism and Fáilte Ireland.

It is now in its 11th  year and is a fourball betterball competition (any combination). The Challenge appeals to anyone who wants to enjoy a relaxing golfing holiday in a sociable environment. The challenge attracts golfers of all levels and from a number of different countries. A large number of golfers return year after year as they enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and the fact that everything is organised for them. The Challenge is played over four excellent parkland courses in with the final taking place at the Seve Ballesteros designed Heritage Golf & Spa Resort at Killenard.

There are individual competitions each day and the leading players with the best accumulated scores over the three days will play the Grand Final. Runners-up will play another competition on the final day. Every participant in the Golf Challenge will be guaranteed 4 days of golf with superb prizes on offer and all for only €125.00 or £100.00 per golfer. Individual days are also available throughout the competition for a fee of €15.00.

Entertainment is provided in the evenings and all participants are invited to the prize giving in the Heritage Golf & Spa Resort. This is an excellent opportunity to get a taste of the challenge and enjoy the atmosphere.
